Close up of my eye using reversed lenses. Depth of field is razor thin so impossible to get all of the eye in sharp focus. Moving my head back or forward by a fraction caused the whole image to go out of focus. I ended up just using continuous shooting whilst moving my eye very slowly towards the lens and picking the shot which showed the most iris detail.
The dark lines at the top of the iris are the shadows of my eyelashes. I might try this again some time with more even lighting to try and reduce the glare I was getting in the top left from the lamp I’d used to light my eye.
I can’t help feeling this might have been more striking if I had blue or green eyes. Never mind. Dull brown it is.
